A standout from the Avatar-themed most charming collectible cards is a powerful little powerhouse.

the popular card game’s collaboration with Avatar will not hit the general market in the coming days, however following pre-releases over the last few days, an affordable green creature saw a sharp rise in market worth.

Throughout the spoiler season, Badgermole Cub attracted a lot of attention. This two-power, two-toughness that costs a single green and one generic mana, Badgermole Cub includes level 1 earthbending (arguably the strongest among the four bending abilities in the set). The real boon with this card lies in another power: Each time mana is generated by tapping a creature, it provides bonus green mana.

At its cheapest, the card sold at around $27. Post-prerelease, yet, its value has shot up to $49.66 with at least one listed for sale at $60.00. Why are we seeing Vivi prices on this adorable card? Mostly because of the explosive mana ramping it can produce.

Upon entering the board, this creature converts a land to a creature land that has earthbending. And with that second ability, if it is not removed, every earthbent land produces twice the mana — in addition to any creatures on your side that produce resources.

An ideal partner for maximum effect would be this one-mana elf, a cheap 1/1 that taps to generate G mana. But numerous alternative mana dorks available. This particular druid costs a bit more a 1/3 creature at a two-mana value as an alternative.

By playing lands, dorks that generate resources, alongside this card, it's simple to summon a massive pricey threat on the board early in the game. And things just keep spiraling exponentially if you keep the pressure on after that.

By incorporating an additional hue using this method, cards like these mana-fixing creatures work perfectly which produce any color of mana. Additionally, a useful enchantment creature enables playing an additional land every round plus makes every land you control so they count as all basics. Another possibility is something like a card called A Realm Reborn, which for six mana provides all of your permanents the ability to produce a mana of any type — including all creatures under your control.

The cub could be too strong when it comes to ramping up your mana generation, but what closes out the game with this archetype? One obvious and popular answer already is this legendary creature. Power and toughness match your land count, plus it turns each creature you own to be Forests in addition to their original types. In other words, all your creatures in play may generate two green mana if used for mana.

Harmonious Grovestrider is a costly, large threat that thrives with many terrain cards (similar to Ashaya, P/T match how many lands you have).

This Planeswalker is an excellent fit in this deck. One of her abilities makes Forest lands generate an additional green mana. (Combined with earthbend, so those lands produce triple green.) Her main ability functions like a form of land animation, adding counters on terrain, which is great though it doesn't stack with earthbend. The minus ability, however, renders all of your lands indestructible enabling you to put onto the battlefield all the remaining forests in the deck. If you can actually activate this power, this typically means game over.

Badgermole Cub is pretty much essential in any green Avatar deck that use earthbend. If you dip into red-green, there’s Bumi. This card features level 4 earthbending, plus if damage is dealt to an opponent, land creatures become untapped for another attack. While that version has become a beloved leader, the cute little Badgermole Cub will surely stay among the top, possibly the popular pick from this expansion.
