Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, stated he only now felt able to express about his deep grief.

"Adequate time has gone by that I can at last put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, noting that his introductory moment with Reiner made him fall in love. "As we began passing more hours together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted never-before-seen clips from the movie, remarking that he doesn't recollect "a single day without laughter".

"This story is about affection, allegiance and giving. Values that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to guide it," Elwes continued.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, saying: "To say that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He finished with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a distinct tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the main character.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he comprehended the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Withheld

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to bar the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A judicial mandate put a restriction on the cases to limit the public release of "all case details, notes, reports or photos" pertaining to the active case.

The coroner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the outcome of murder, with a record citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing divisive claims that were widely condemned by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the those speaking out recently. Talking on his program, Rogan labeled the comments as "shocking" and suggested they demonstrated a troubling lack of empathy.

Rogan ended by remarking that an adviser ought to have intervened when the choice to comment on the tragedy was made.
