Football Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

The Gunners' 10-game winning run came to an end by Sunderland prior to the international hiatus, however will the English top division frontrunners bounce back against local foes Tottenham this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus artificial intelligence, readers and a variety of guests.

For week 12, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

The singer's new album, the new release, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a player.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "The side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I still love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."

Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I will not push football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their weekend soccer side," he added.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a period too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I get it from. He coached our side for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their attack is now more potent with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be fairly close, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

It suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

Olly's prediction: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their past two games - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear strong again.

West Ham's sole away win this campaign came at Forest in August, when their boss Nuno was still that team's manager.

So, what on earth do I go with here - will it be the Hammers extending their run under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to go with the Cherries, because I believe what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign began, but they have surprised a few people under their manager and are in good form with three wins in their last four matches.

A family member advised me to get Bees striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I didn't listen.

Thiago will likely find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had great success on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are always strong at their stadium. Brentford will try to attack on the break but I feel the home manager's side pose much more of a danger.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

Olly's view: It could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it actually turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge fixture for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.

They have have lots of quality in their squad but it still feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.

As for the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League season so far.

The away side's display in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not witnessed anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The logical choice would be to support the visitors here, because they are obviously able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the end of last month.

But I am not going to do that. Rather, I really need to continue going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they clearly love to prove me wrong.

Looking at Fulham's home form, the only team they have lost to is Arsenal. Their manager's side will be extremely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a poor run... but Fulham have still been decent at home this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but could they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
