Teenage Swiss national a young man from Switzerland is one of those unaccounted for.

The relatives of teenagers lost after a deadly blaze at a bar in a Swiss ski resort are enduring an agonising period of uncertainty for answers and requesting information about their loved ones via social media.

The fire devastated the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the middle of the night of New Year's Day. Verified footage show the roof structure catching alight as beverages with sparklers are held aloft.

Officials have indicated that it could take an extended period to identify the fatalities of the fire, which claimed the lives of numerous partygoers and hurt another over a hundred. Authorities said on the latest update that 113 of the those hurt have been accounted for, with efforts continuing to identify the other six.

In the waiting period, loved ones have been using the internet to appeal for clues about their friends who were present at the venue that night.

Desperate Searches for the Missing

The fate of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, 16, are not yet determined, according to an public plea from his mother.

"A companion informed me they fled after the fire started and that he had his phone with him, but then at a specific moment he they were separated," she explained, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.

One of his educators commented, "I've always been struck by his good nature and positive demeanor, coupled with great maturity. Often offer to help out."

Alice Kallergis, who holds both Greek and Swiss nationality but lives permanently in the country, was also present on New Year's Eve, according to media.

Her sibling has published an appeal on social media, saying the family has had "no information" regarding the teenager or the three friends she was with, who are also reported missing.

Officials from her country of origin say they are actively engaged with the developments.
