Trump's Family Member Seeks Expert Advice from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf Debut
This young athlete boasts impressive social media audience
The young golfer will have multiple well-known supporters when she begins her LPGA debut on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to Donald Trump, was granted a sponsor's invitation to compete at the Annika competition in Florida.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, possesses numerous golf courses and frequently matches against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she revealed.
The golfer shared that Trump, who cannot attend, told her: "Just stay calm."
"My grandpa practically advised me to play and relax," she continued.
"To me, he's simply an ordinary family member. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with running the country, making him somewhat preoccupied."
As an amateur, the golfer has participated in only three events in 2024 and holds ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
Yet she can receive tips from Tiger Woods, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He is the top athlete in the world," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive human being. He advised me to play, relax, adapting to the flow."
Kai will face some of most prominent players in women's golf at this tournament, including world number two Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA stated that involving Kai exposes the sport to new audiences, specifically among the next generation.
Kai boasts millions of followers and recently launched a personal apparel and wellness label.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
