The incident caused the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the multi-storey parking facility.

Two individuals are now facing charges related to a luggage theft where a substance thought to be pepper spray resulted in harm at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and charges for using a harmful chemical, according to official statements.

The charges follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.

A three-year-old girl was caught up in the incident during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were subsequently released.

The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – led to disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
