Vince Zampella, the mind behind the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has tragically died in a car accident in the state of California at the age of 55.

His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.

The influential video game developer passed away following his automobile collided and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, according to.
